Grades will be divided among AKS Progress, AKS Mastery, and District Assessments (if applicable).
Final grades should represent the learning of the AKS over the entire grading period.
Grades should reflect academic achievement and should not evaluate effort and participation.
Graded assignments should be completed at school.
Teachers are responsible for providing intervention strategies for students not progressing satisfactorily and for allowing additional opportunities for reassessment.
Once a student shows progress or mastery towards AKS, the grades for that AKS shall be updated in the gradebook.
Grades shall be entered into the gradebook weekly.
