Dear Knight Elementary Parents and Guardians:
The 2024-2025 school year is here, and I can't believe it! The first weeks of school are busy as we welcome new and returning students and prepare for a great year of teaching and learning. I wanted to inform you that I will be on leave starting Friday, August 9, 2024.
Although I will miss the excitement of the beginning of the school year, I know that our students will be in good hands. We are fortunate at Knight to have a strong leadership team committed to the well-being and academic success of our students. Our assistant principals and teacher leaders will serve our students and school well during my leave.
During my absence, Dr. Charlotte Sadler, a former GCPS principal, will readily support our school in the principal role. Dr. Sadler retired from GCPS after 32 years in education, including 12 years as a principal and 6 years as an assistant principal.
Please feel free to contact the school with any questions or concerns. Dr. Sadler and our assistant principals are here for you during my time away. I look forward to our continued partnership and plan to return tentatively in late September 2024.
